December 2011:

Atelier Gallery in Charleston, South Carolina is now representing Casey Craig. The gallery is located in the historic district on King Street. August 2011:

Lagerquist Gallery is now representing Casey in Atlanta, Georgia. Established in 1971 and located in the heart of Buckhead's prestigious West Village shopping district, it is Atlanta's oldest continually owned and operated gallery dealing in original fine art. May 2011:

The annual Five x Seven show at Arthouse at the Jones in Austin, Texas is from May 12 - June 12. Artists with strong Texas ties are invited to create works for this exhibition which are displayed anonymously. March 2011:

Casey's longhorn painting "The Stars at Night" is the cover art for the February 2011 issue of Tumbleweed Magazine. This monthly publication is published by the Junior League of Midland, Texas. For information about their projects, visit their website at www.jlweb.org/midland.


 

September 2010:

"Hill Country Longhorn" was accepted as a finalist in the Abstract/Experimental category of The Artist's Magazine 27th Annual Art Competition. Cathy Woo was the juror for the Abstract/Experimental category.  The Annual Art Competition will be featured in the December 2010 issue of the magazine.

 

July 2010:

Three paintings from Casey's tree series have been selected by the Austin Public Library for permanent installation in the newly constructed Twin Oaks Library. The library is located at 1800 South Fifth St and will have a grand opening celebration on August 21st, 2010.

 

April 2010:

Casey will do a demonstration for Gallery on the Square on the front sidewalk of Old Mill Store from 1-4pm on the square in Wimberley for Arts Fest on Saturday, April 24th. There will be art set up all through the square, strolling thespians, live music and a classic car show. There is no parking on the square for the day, but shuttle service is available from the Community Center and the former First Baptist Church.

 

March 2010:

"Longhorn with Autumn Sky" was selected for publication in the 30th anniversary issue of Celebrate Austin and the Texas Hill Country. The annual publication reaches 17 million visitors, newcomers, and locals in Austin and the Texas Hill Country. Currently in over 30,000  hotels, upscale motels, corporate housing,  bed & breakfasts, resorts, hotel gift shops, online bookstores, and more makes this annual publication the premier visitor’s guide. February 2010:

Meet the Artists! Casey will do a demonstration with her mixed media painting technique at Art on 5th in Austin on Saturday, February 20th from 1-4pm. Several of Art on 5th's gallery artists will be creating works using their individual styles and techniques. Art on 5th is located at 1501 W 5th Street for more information call 512-481-1111.

 

November 2009:

Group Exhibition "Small Works" at Art on 5th in Austin, Texas. Casey has created several smaller paintings just for this show. The exhibition is at the gallery from November 16 - January 2.

October 2009:

"High Noon" one of Casey's longhorn paintings was selected for the Happy Trails Banner Project in Georgetown, Texas. The project runs from October 2, through mid-November. Over 50 Texas artists have been selected to have their work reproduced as 2'x4' banners which will be displayed around the Historic Town Square in Georgetown. The public is invited to visit and vote for their favorite banner. At the end of the project, the banners will be permanently installed at the East View High School in Georgetown, to help inspire student creativity.

August 2009:

"Gray Matters II" one of Casey's paintings, is being featured in the current issue of Art Business News Magazine in the Originals department.

 

June 2009:

The Austin Public Library has selected three of Casey's mixed media paintings for permanent installation in the new North Village Branch Library. The newly constructed 11,000 square foot library, located at 2505 Steck Avenue is replacing the 5,000 square foot storefront facility located on Anderson Lane where it has been located since 1971. The library celebrated their  grand opening on May 30, 2009.

 

May 2009:

Casey Craig will be doing a demonstration at Gallery on the Square in Wimberley for Arts Fest on Saturday, May 9th from 12:30 - 3:00. Arts Fest will be held on the Wimberley Square from 10am - 8pm. Several artists will demonstrate and exhibit their work while area musicians provide live music. Gallery on the Square is located directly on the square between Old Mill Store and Wimberley Cafe. 

 

April 2009:

One of Casey's paintings has been selected for permanent installation at the Manchaca Road Branch Library in Austin, Texas. The library, located in south Austin at 5500 Manchaca Road re-opened in March 2008 after an almost two year renovation and remodel project.

 

March 2009:

"Lone Longhorn" one of Casey's mixed media paintings, received an Honorable Mention Award at the Midland Arts Association Spring Juried Art Exhibition. The exhibit is being held at the Museum of the Southwest in Midland, Texas and will be on display from March 5-29th. 

 

December 2008:

All three of Casey's entries were juried into the Wimberley Valley Art League Deck the Walls Show and one of her paintings was awarded an Honorable Mention. Jill Pankey, award-winning artist and lecturer at Texas State University was the juror. The artwork is on exhibit at the Wimberley Community Center through February 2, 2009.

 

November 2008:

Casey's artwork has been accepted into the Uptown Blanco Art Center's Stars & Lights Holiday Art Show. The show is curated by Rebecca Doll, the Director for the Uptown Blanco Art Center. The Center is located On the Square in Blanco at the corner of 4th and Main Streets. The show opens on Friday, November 28th and includes an evening reception at 6pm. The exhibit will continue every Thursday - Sunday until January 4th.

 

April 2008:

Deborah Kaufman of Bremond House Gallery in Elgin, Texas has juried one of Casey's paintings into the Wimberley Valley Art League show and awarded it an Honorable Mention. There will be an artist's champagne reception on Friday, April 11th, from 5-7pm at the Wimberley Community Center. The artwork will remain on exhibit through June 6th. 

 

February 2008:

One of Casey's paintings has been juried into the Wimberley Valley Art League show. The juror was David Berman of Austin's d berman gallery. There will be an artist's champagne reception on Friday, February 8, from 5-7pm at the Wimberley Community Center. The artwork will remain on exhibit through April 3rd. 

 

March 2007:

The City of Austin has purchased three of Casey's mixed media paintings. The artwork will be displayed at the newly renovated and expanded Spicewood Springs Library as part of their permanent art collection. The library opens on Saturday, March 31st.

 

February 2007:

Arts from the Heart (a non-profit organization that provides children around Wimberley with free art classes and field trips to museums, concerts and theatre performances), is hosting “An Evening to Remember”, their annual fundraising gala scheduled for February 24th.
